Heh! I've stood right where that camera is.

The fountain behind Keira is made of polystyrene and is now on the landing of Stokesay Court!

I'd visit the landing of Stokesay Court if Keira was there but I'll pass on the polystyrene fountain...

Heh, just watched the film - all the kit I could see was standard 37 pattern webbing and uniform. Little uniform badging and loads of tin helmets! I can't see any problem with Brit uniforms, standard BD's are fine, hell, shirtsleeves if the weather is good!

We could have a think about ammo limits I suppose to simulate the lack of automatic weapons - perhaps this is for another thread...

Right - OK with camping at this event so all systems go.

I'll do a little poll - whether we take any notice of result is up to us of course but it would be interesting to see what punters think.

Poll indicates that chaps would prefer to play on Sunday. Actually, it makes sense to me as it gives Saturday for game set-up.

I'd like to get this game on the go - Josh has now stuck a game of his in July (with no detail) so we must launch ASAP. Clearly we don't want to open bookings but we do want chaps to get their holidays booked.

I do like the idea of Operation Aerial. Much less obvious that Dynamo and gives a huge amount of flexibility on accuracy. Either way...

Outline scenario:
As British and French troops organise evacuation to Dunkirk and Cherbourg. It is left to the stout British infantry to hold back the German advance. A save haven must be maintained, roads kept clear, equipment left behind put beyond use and extraction of French gold reserves facilitated. It's grim work but hundreds of thousands of men's lives depend on it.

Cut off and left behind as the last organised craft left the shores ten days ago, a small group of British soldiers have a choice - give themselves up to the encircling German forces or fight on and somehow get themselves to a port and find a boat to requisition. Their saving grace is that the disciplined Germans are not in a hurry and their organised military machine is slow to react to the activities of the plucky Brits...

Go with that :good: suitably vague to allow for interpetation when I can write the game plan !

Excited by this one now .
BTW I want Stuka noises to fill the woods when we light up the pyro barrage ...

Do you want to go for Aerial then? Much less chance of peeps getting picky and it's closer to the game date (hence 10 days after thing - Aerial finished 25th June, whereas Dynamo was long since done and dusted). Gives the opportunity to bring the fall of Paris into the story too - symbolic if nothing else.

Gah, Chommers. You've set Gadge and Yith off now.....it's only time before blanco is mentioned. Yith's already gone on about pea-green blanco in a PM to me. However, he has kindly offered to lend his kit to me, which is good of him.

Oooh, and can you change the name of this forum to avoid confusion!

Yes, it's very annoying and if it wasn't to keep them 'on-side' I'd have told 'em to feck off by now. How dare they lay down kit rules for someone else's event?
